Don't throw away cold leads in medical sales jobs

June 30, 2009

Cold leads are likely to come up now and again in medical sales jobs and reacting in the right way to these is vital part of the role.

That is the view of Marketing Masters, which has indicated that handling cold leads with care can boost sales performance in the long-term.

Ken Burgin and Elizabeth Walker from the firm noted that working with marketing teams to keep cold leads in the loop will ensure they are on board when they are in a position to buy.

They told Northumberland Today: "Cold leads are prospects who are qualified, but who simply aren't ready to purchase right away.

"What does your sales team do with a lead that is qualified, but won't close for a while? The best idea is to hand leads back to marketing for re-engagement and nurturing; creating opportunities for the sales force to pursue again in the future when timing is optimal."

Business Knowhow has called for salespeople to be persistent in order to transform cold leads into hot leads.ADNFCR-2182-ID-19242624-ADNFCR
