Trainee Sales Executive / Graduate Account Manager - Import Export Sales

£18,000 - £25,000 OTE (First Year), £25,000 - £40,000 OTE (Second Year)

Our client is a global distributor of electronic components. A young, positive, vibrant company providing a total solution service to manufacturers worldwide.

This is an ideal opportunity to commence a selling career in a global business.

The person:

A motivated and driven individual who is well organised and confident on the telephone, preferably with previous sales or buying experience. You must have good computer literacy and be competent with numbers. Attention to detail with accuracy is a key quality. This role can become very fast paced and the ability for quick thinking and problem solving while under pressure is essential. An ambitious individual with the interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and work as a team will succeed.

Duties:

- Open up and generate new business (Business to business)
- Build rapport and increase existing account spending
- Both buying and selling duties of electronic component trading
- Dealing with couriers, customers and suppliers via telephone, email, fax, MSN on a daily basis
- Building and maintaining personal customer database
- Problem solving
- Capacity to take responsibility on board at an early stage in their career

Training:

Previous Electronics experience is not required, as full training will be provided with ongoing training. The candidate will be expected to be independent by the two-year point. Having completed in-house training courses.

Prospects:

This role has infinite prospects involving travel: trade shows, exhibitions as well as global customer/supplier visits. Progression to team management is encouraged and promoted. Earning prospects are also extremely attractive. First year on target earnings between 18k-25k. Second year 25k-40k.
