Our client is a successful independent publishing company based in Aylesbury. For 9 years they have produced the UK’s only Wedding Directory sold as a "WH Smith Exclusive" at a cost of £2.99. Published 4 times a year it has a paid for circulation of over 70,000 copies and contains invaluable information on everything you would need to plan for the biggest and most important day of your life.
Due to their continued success, they are now seeking to recruit an additional telesales consultant to join their small and friendly team of sales people working out of the companies offices in Aylesbury. Using leads provided, you will be responsible for selling display advertising solutions (anything from a 6th page upwards) to suppliers of wedding day goods and services. Current classifications include venues, bridal wear, cakes, floral, health and beauty, entertainment, photography and stationery to name but a few. The adverts are sold to appear in both hardback issues and are repeated FOC onto the companies website which currently receives over 200,000 unique visitors a month. Sales are solution led and closed in a single call or after several phone conversations (depending upon the size of the company and the proximity to publishing deadlines).
To be considered you will need a proven track record of success gained ideally within a new business focussed telesales role. Used to cold calling and working to deadlines and targets you will be a competent relationship builder and have a flexible and friendly approach. Previous advertising sales experience is not required but you must be used to seeing a sale through to conclusion.
The rewards are superb and include a generous basic salary of upto £18000, with a realistic OTE of £28,000 (which is Uncapped) + benefits.
