Our client is a leader in the global research laboratory industry with worldwide sales of $3.3 billion US dollars. The company offers products from a wide range of manufacturers, to a large number of customers primarily in North America, Europe and other locations.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Specialist to join their sales team, coving the North of England and Scotland. The main purpose of this role is to manage and develop furniture projects. You will oversee the process from conception and design through to installation. Project managing it through the various stages, you will work with a variety of suppliers and contractors.
The role will require you to actively promote their Labconcept strategy, products and services including promotions to customers within industrial, higher education, pharmaceutical accounts and appropriate customers throughout your territory. You will provide follow up furniture and lab design quotations and participate in the organisation of local customer seminars and exhibitions. You must support the general account managers with your technical know how and project management skills to help support the sales process. Building strong relationships with relevant architects, lab constructors and furniture suppliers you must achieve your annual sales and margin targets whilst ensuring the company values and met at all times.
The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of the UK furniture and equipment market with the science arena. You must have extensive sales and design experience along with excellent understanding of project management within the construction or interior design environment. An excellent communicator at all levels, you will have a can do attitude towards your work and a hunger for success. You will have an understanding or the key business levers to help drive profitable sales along with excellent problem solving skills. Good IT skills are vital and auto CAD experience would be an advantage.
