Our client is a leading international engineering group that manufactures precision components and assemblies for the aerospace, industrial gas turbines, specialist automotive fasteners and petrochemical markets.

The group in Sheffield is a leading supplier of forgings to the aerospace, mining and automotive markets. The success of the Company has been built on developing quality products supported by a focused approach to customer service.

They are currently looking to recruit a Sales Manager for their Closed Die Forgings Team. The role will require extensive travel both in the UK and abroad and the post holder will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Director.

The post holder will be expected to achieve profitable sales growth by engaging with new and existing customers.

The duties and responsibilities of the role will include: -
 
To win profitable business within the defence, oil and gas, aerospace and IGT markets
 
To maintain and develop relationships with all key customers
 
To develop a forward business plan for key customers including the preparation of detailed annual sales plans
 
To contribute to the development of marketing plans and technical improvements to products to help maintain the company’s position in the market
 
To work with the operational / technical groups on new product introductions to ensure customer expectations are managed
 
To work alongside the commercial function to manage all requests for quotations and pricing enquiries to ensure customer communications are maintained
 
Continually assess the market in order to identify new customers and add to existing customer base
 
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in an engineering discipline, together with knowledge of the forgings industry. You will have previous experience in a sales environment coupled with excellent communication skills and good business acumen. Our client is looking for a team player who is results driven and able to use their own initiative.
 
Located in Sheffield, this role is commutable from areas such as Rotherham, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Macclesfield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield and Wakefield.
