My client is a dynamic internet-based publishing company based south of Birmingham. They run four industry specific web magazines aimed at senior executives worldwide in the fields of food, drink, motoring and lifestyle marketing.
The client is looking for experienced, ambitious and career-minded sales professionals to sell online advertising and/or information services. Their customers are typically high level execs within large companies.
They will be expected to network within an industry via conferences and also use the phone to set up meetings. Whilst the role will be primarily office based, there is scope for overseas travel. About 80% of the business is abroad. Typical deal size is around £10K - £15K. Starting salary will be around the £20K - £25K base with an uncapped commission scheme.
The person will need to be hungry for success, not afraid of a huge challenge and able to hit the ground running with little supervision. Self-starters with excellent communication skills to build rapport and identify customer needs will find their account management skills are required as well as sales ability in opening doors.
