Established over 40 years this US manufacturer of packaging machinery and packaging systems is seeking a sales Engineer to cover London and the South East of England. Selling a wide range of machines into a wide variety of environments this is a semi-technical sales role providing solutions that decrease cost, improve quality and improve efficiency. The machines are sold together with their associated consumables and spares and the role is a combination of new business and account management.
To succeed you will have a proven track record in Capital Equipment and/or sales into industrial/manufacturing environments. Successful Sales Engineers within the business have previously worked in Fork Truck (FLT) sales, lift and elevator sales, photocopier and office equipment sales and CCTV/Access Control sales. Therefore as extensive product training is offered, your experience doesn't necessarily have to come from a mechanical engineering technical background
To succeed you will have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills. As this is a home based role you will be results driven, self managing and self motivated with a ‘can-do' attitude. As this is a capital equipment sales role it includes writing proposals and winning business through several levels of decision makers and as such you will need above average knowledge of Microsoft (Word/Excel/PowerPoint). The company will also consider applications from internal sales engineers looking for their first break into field sales.
As this is a field sales role you do require a full driving license
