With over 50 years of experience in designing and manufacturing cold formed sections, our client offers a vast range of high quality, precision engineered sections in areas including Vetex safety barriers, trench sheeting, and floor decking. An opportunity has now arisen for a talented Sales Account Manager to join their team in Newport.
This is the ideal role for a sales driven candidate to join a company with a global presence. Not only does this position offer the chance to work in an innovative environment, but for the right person, this is an excellent opportunity for further advancement in the commercial area.
As a Sales Account Manager you will be responsible for managing the accounts of our client’s cold formed sections. Focusing on building sound customer relationships, your role will involve direct selling, marketing and customer service – and offers the chance to develop your selling and negotiating skills.
Your key duties will include:
- direct selling to customers
- developing working relationships with both existing and potential customers
- obtaining and updating market intelligence and competitor activity
To succeed as the Sales Account Manager you must have the proven ability to sell in challenging markets, ideally from within a related industry. You will also need to be degree educated (or equivalent), with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a good level of IT literacy.
Knowledge of construction and engineering products would be a distinct advantage to your application.
