Our client is a leading Software-as-a-Service company who provide a managed, outsourced service to 2500 end-user companies in over 50 countries, worldwide. Their service is Internet / Web based, and their users include 25% of the FTSE 100. An opportunity has arisen for a talented Sales Account Manager to join their team.
This is the ideal role for a bright and energetic Sales professional who is looking for a rewarding role where you’ll be responsible for managing and growing the use of a highly popular service that’s used by sizable customers.
As a Sales Account Manager you will be responsible for managing a group of accounts made up of large telecoms companies that use our client’s market leading software. The software gives unprecedented levels of visibility into the behaviour, health and performance of Data Networks and Applications, and it will be your role to identify further opportunities to sell to your accounts. This position will involve regular travel to client sites.
Applying your proven experience, this role will require you to use a mixture of communications and sales to manage and grow your accounts, and your duties will include:
- visiting accounts regularly and building relationships
- ensuring accounts are kept up to date with the continuing development of the software
- relaying the up to date information via meetings, briefings, events, newsletters, email etc
- looking for and promoting opportunities to grow the level of business
- occasionally providing product familiarisation and training to small groups
To succeed in this role you must have solid experience in an IT based account management position and a track record in managing and developing accounts. You will also need experience in dealing with large organisations, structure and politics.
Additionally, as a Sales Account Manager you must be an effective communicator who is at home giving presentations or talking to people at many different levels. You will also need the ability to organise yourself and structure your own time, and enjoy working in a small team where you can make a real difference to a service used by thousands of customers.
Any experience of the telecoms/internet/service provider market place would be highly desirable to your application.
