Retail Buyer – Online Retail (seasonal/garden)

£20,000 - £35,000 DOE
As one of the UK’s fastest growing companies, our client is a leading online retailer that is reputable for manufacturing, distributing and retailing a large range of garden and leisure products. They are now looking to recruit a Retail Buyer to join their Trading team.
Whether you’re an experienced Buyer looking for a new challenge, or you’re a Junior Buyer looking for your next career move – this is an exciting opportunity to join a closely knit and hard working buying team.
As a Retail Buyer you will be responsible for continuing to drive their ongoing success, and for developing the categories, by assisting the Buying team in carrying out planning, selecting, and administration duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Product sourcing, product selection and purchasing of product
- Negotiation of cost prices, supplier terms of business and supplier contributions
- Developing a market leading range, with suitable pricing structure, to maximise sales of the confectionery category
- Developing and managing profitable working relationships with Far East and UK suppliers
To succeed as in this role you must be an experienced Retail Buyer from within a retail or internet/online buying environment. Our client will consider both junior and senior candidates.
Additionally, as the Retail Buyer you will also need to demonstrate a willingness to learn, excellent organisational skills, and a strong desire for personal development. Far East sourcing experience is preferred, but not essential.
