Synopsis: New business field sales professional for one of the UK’s leading network infrastructure consultancies and service providers. At least five years experience in new business field sales roles is essential. Experience of selling solutions that involve IT services or consulting is important. Experience of selling IT solutions that involve the applications below is desirable and a bonus would be experience in selling / new business development sales in the public sector. An understanding of the following IT issues will be an advantage: Server Virtualisation, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery Planning, IT Infrastructure Library, Data management including storage and backup, Remote application access. Location fairly flexible within South / South East / London – you will covering the South East and London primarily. C £50k - basic ote £100k uncapped. Car / car allw, laptop, mobile etc

.The Person
New business sales professional with proven new business development track record. You will have experience selling IT services or consulting and a bonus would be experience in selling / new business development in the public sector. You will ideally have relevant experience in IT Security, Servers and Storage Consolidation, Converged IP Networking, Enterprise Management and Information Access, together with excellent interpersonal skills. You will treat clients as valuable and want to maintain them on a long term basis.

Responsibilities of the role
Secure sales of the Company’s products and services to generate £300k gross margin in a normal full year from new customers. Target relief during the first three quarters will be £60k in the first quarter, £50k in the second quarter, and £15k in the third quarter.
Provide customer account management for new customers until the account is handed over to a designated Account Manager, 15 months after receipt of the first order.
Acquire a full understanding of Company policies, directives, and standards concerning ethics and representation and ensure compliant conduct in all dealings with and on behalf of the company.
Conduct all business and communication in a professional and ethical manner, adhering to principles of honesty, openness and responsibility at all times.
Manage personal scheduling and activities to maximise personal productivity in all duties carried out on behalf of the company.
Work with appointed manager to define and achieve goals and objectives within the framework and business plan communicated by the company’s Directors.
Complete all assigned reporting requirements and submit reports within the allotted time or by the given deadlines.
Extend full co-operation to co-workers and other departments by freely offering information, knowledge, and ideas to help them fulfil their tasks and responsibilities. In addition, where practical, offer participative help without compromising achievement of personal sales targets or agreed goals and objectives.
Identify own development needs and prepare an ongoing self-development plan to ensure maintenance and extension of the knowledge and skills required for excellent performance in the role.
Competencies and skills required for the role
High levels of interpersonal communication skills are required for this role including excellent spoken and written English, ability to develop rapport rapidly with all people, ability to win peoples trust and respect, and ability to communicate complex information in a clear and easily understandable manner.
A high level of writing skill and the ability to convey complex ideas with clarity, using the written word will be an advantage.
Ability to present complex information in a clear and easily understandable manner to groups of people in a public setting will be an advantage.
Ability to influence customer decisions by establishing credibility, communicating with clarity and logic, and connecting capability with need, is essential.
Ability to solve problems such as, how to initiate contact with desirable customers, how to progress sales campaigns, how to meet or exceed sales targets, and how to obtain the necessary resources is essential.
Ability to identify or set meeting objectives and conduct a customer meeting to achieve those objectives is essential.
Professional negotiation skills will be an advantage.
Successful candidates will demonstrate self motivation, self discipline, ability to focus on a task, and a strong work ethic.
Knowledge required for the role
A broad understanding of the IT industry is important. Familiarity with the use of IT to achieve business efficiency, productivity, and profitability improvements is essential.
Knowledge of public sector sales will be an advantage.
An understanding of IT data management issues and solutions is important.
