Our client’s solution delivers award winning capture solutions, provides a strong return on investment and leads the market in deployed onsite electronic and paper capture. Already used by leading names including Debenhams, The Economist and P&O Ferrymasters – it fully integrates with ERP/finance systems in order to optimise process efficiency and leverage existing investments. A unique opportunity has now arisen for a New Business Sales Executive / Business Development Manager to join their team.

As a New Business Sales Executive / Business Development Manager you will be solely responsible for creating new business by identifying prospects and selling our client’s integrated document and data capture solutions and services to clients across the UK. This position can be based anywhere in the UK, though you will be required to travel to the company’s office in Shrewsbury once a week.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be accountable for all new business sales activities targeting all accounts from medium to large corporates. The role is responsible for creating and identifying opportunities through cold calling, organising mail shots and generating all leads. You will then be required to qualify prospects, actively investigate customer requirements and prepare proposals, whilst maintaining relationships with prospective customers.

To succeed as a New Business Sales Executive / Business Development Manager it is essential you have previous B2B sales experience gained within the IT industry selling IT Solutions along with exceptional customer relationship building and negotiating skills. Knowledge of document management would be an advantage to your application, but is not essential.

Additionally, you will be a first class communicator with a broad commercial acumen and an innovative approach. You should also have consultative sales skills in order to unlock opportunities and develop new accounts.
