Marketing Assistant – London
£22,000
Kumon, a world leading provider of individualised after-school study programmes, are currently recruiting for a Marketing Assistant with proven marketing experience (across the mix) gained within the private sector. Ideally having experience in organising events, maintaining websites, advertising and marketing research.
The Marketing Assistant will provide support to the National Marketing & Communications team through promoting national marketing initiatives in a designated region as well as contributing to the company wide marketing strategy. Preferably with a 1st degree in Marketing, Advertising or Business Studies and ideally a CIM qualification the Marketing Assistant will ideally have knowledge of the supplementary education market.
Knowledge and Skills:
•Can demonstrate a positive and proactive ability in a wide range of marketing and communications activities.
•Robust up to date knowledge of marketing trends/activities.
•Excellent written and oral communicator
•Good attention to detail and proof reading ability.
•Excellent organisation skills.
•Ability to work as a team member whilst at the same time work on own initiative.
•Be able to organise and effectively manage multiple concurrent projects as and when required.
•Computer literate with excellent command of MS Office.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Project Management
•Advertising and PR – including researching media, negotiating prices, ensuring copy deadlines are met, managing budget, sourcing PR angles.
•Event Management – including researching, organizing and attending suitable external events, organising and promoting events.
•Brand Management – including building awareness of the brand and ensuring the consistency of all communications.
•Research and Analysis – including working with the Marketing & Communications team to target areas for development, assess brand positioning and awareness and evaluate marketing activity.
•Direct Franchisee Support – including guidance and support to Instructors in developing their local marketing & PR activities.
