Our client is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors in their industry. Consistently recognised for bringing new designs and technologies to their market, they are reputable for providing a leading service. An opportunity has now arisen for a Key Account Service Manager to join their team.

In this position you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with assigned retail customers to support collaborative planning and supply chain optimisation. Your role will focus on ensuring a robust demand / forecast plan, optimising service levels, and managing a team of Account Managers.

Working in a pivotal position between the customer and the internal Sales and Inventory teams, as a Key Account Service Manager you will be accountable for the accuracy and administration of stock orders and forecasting.

Your duties will include:

- analysing shipments, electronic point of sale (EPOS) and other retail data to support the extended supply chain performance
- working with customer Logistic teams to ensure agreed mechanics are being used and to fine-tune the demand plan
- interfacing with the order fulfillment process to ensure the delivery of a superior customer service to retail accounts
- collating KPIs to track and understand trends and to identify and address opportunities for improvement
- developing professional relationships at multiple levels within the customers' supply chain community

To succeed as the Key Account Service Manager you must have experience in logistics planning, within a fast moving consumer goods environment. This could have been gained within an account management role within a Sales team. You must also be of graduate calibre, with excellent communication skills and great attention to detail.

Knowledge of AS400, SAP and Excel would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of retailer databases and EDI ordering – though these aren't essential.
