Synopsis:  Internal / external sales executive ideally used to Internal technical sales for engineering equipment manufacturer or an external field sales executive with a technical / engineering background.. Knowledge of Woodward products and processes, Quality Management Systems, perhaps with an engineering background would be an advantage. Knowledge of Middle East business an advantage.  The role will be primarily office based as this is a primarily internal sales role based near Basingtoke. Would suit candidates living in Newbury, Reading or Basingstoke areas. Basic to £30k plus bonus and pension.

Job Description

Our client is the largest European Central Distributor for Woodward products covering the UK, EIRE, Benelux and Middle-East regions. Our products are supplied into the Power Generation, Petrochemical, process and Marine markets to retrofit the controls on a wide range of engine and turbine applications. Due to the continued expansion of our distribution business, we are delighted to have the opportunity to open the position of Internal Sales Person to be responsible for the internal sales and support of our customers around the world.  

Including:-

• Attend to customer requests for governor, electronic controls and parts sales as part of the distribution network.
• Maintain records of quotations and orders for efficient reference and for audit purposes
• Process customer credit applications and ensure that the query and stop lists are resolved and kept to a minimum

Qualifications

Candidates should have a sound commercial background, which will need to include customer facing experience as a minimum. They must be logical thinkers and willing to undertake a wide rage of different tasks. Experience in the following would be advantageous

• Internal technical sales for engineering equipment manufacturer
• Courteous and dynamic phone manner
• Knowledge of Woodward products and processes
• Quality Management Systems
• Engineering Background
• Knowledge of Middle East business

May be ideally suited to engineers with field sales experience wishing to move to a more in-house sales role.

Position in organisation

The applicant will report to the Business Manager.
