Our client supplies over 1.5 million technical and industrial professionals throughout the world. Worldwide an order is placed with them every 1.5 seconds, that’s over 57,000 orders every day! Maintaining their success as a leading, worldwide, business-to-business distributor is an exciting challenge and one in which all their people have a part to play.
Due their continued success and demanding work load, they are now recruiting for Account Executives to secure new business through successful commercial sales negotiations and customer relationship management. They have opportunities available in St. Neots and Oxford.
They are looking for proactive, motivated sales people to boost revenue, increase sales and promote the services and products the company offer. You will be dealing with the sales from a lead, convert to quotation and chase these to convert into an order. Working to agreed targets, you will be involved in both inbound and outbound calling to promote sales and be accountable for discounting within a approved margin. A team player, you need to liaise with supply chain when large orders are placed to ensure availability and with product management so they are aware of the pricing variants.
With excellent communication skills and a tenacious attitude, you will build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers to maximise revenue potential.
The successful candidate will need proven sales and negotiation skills coupled with commercial acumen and excellent interpersonal skills. With the ability to prioritise your workload effectively, you will need sound customer service and time management skills. Product and industry knowledge would be advantageous, as would knowledge of Microsoft packages and SAP.
