Brief job description of Hotel Sales Role ;
To provide Hotel sales support to meet budgeted sales, by generating new ideas and revenue in a pro-active manner, maximizing Hotel sales in all areas, developing and delivering the hotel’s strategy.
Your role will involve Corporate Hotel Sales , Meeting Room and Conference sales , Room sales and Wedding / Function sales.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF SALES MANAGER ;
1) To develop the sales department into a pro-active function that is focused on delivering results and supports other departments to achieve budget.
2) To devise and develop the hotel’s strategy to ensure we are heading in the right direction in order to meet budget, and are filling the gaps well in advance.
3) To represent the hotel to new potential clients in a professional manner, with in-house and external appointments, achieving six quality appointments per week.
4) To provide comprehensive reports highlighting successes and opportunities.
5) To produce action plans that are SMART, ensuring that agreed actions are performed and monitor results.
6) To produces when necessary reactive initiatives in order to address unforeseen situations.
7) To oversee all sales action being performed by departmental employees, supervising and policing to ensure deadlines are met.
8) To run the sales department within its budget accounting for all expenditure, developing a means of advertising control.
9) Explore all advertising opportunities, developing an advertising strategy to focus on core necessities, to ensure areas in need of advertising are covered.
10) Work closely with the General Manager having regular feedback updates to ensure communication is of a high level.
11) Hold monthly communication meetings with an agenda and minutes.
12) Create a fun working environment that is customer orientated, both internal and external, with a pleasant atmosphere, and that has no barriers.
13) Attend company meetings or training courses as necessary.
14) Hold and host client evenings etc. . . .
15) Abide by all relevant Health & Safety legislation.
