Playing a key role in the Events Sales team, as an Events Sales Executive you will be responsible for selling sponsorship and exhibition space to businesses for our client's first class conferences across the public sector. This is an exciting role that includes a combination of new business development and account management - making it the ideal position to develop a rewarding career in sales.

In this role you will speak to prospective clients in order to sell them the opportunity to promote themselves at events either by exhibiting or sponsoring. This will involve researching companies on the internet in order to find contacts and leads, and developing and maintaining long term relationships with current and prospective customers by gaining an understanding of their business and marketing. You'll need to be adept at sourcing new companies in specialist fields/industries, and have the ability to follow through effectively on new prospects.

To succeed as an Events Sales Executive ideally you will have some experience in a media, telesales or B2B sales environment, together with a good basic standard of education. Our client will also consider candidates without sales experience, but with the commitment, determination and drive to succeed.

Additionally, for this role your confidence is crucial, as is your ability to quickly grasp complex issues and communicate with senior people in leading businesses. You must also be able to demonstrate strong influencing, negotiating, and time management skills, and proficiency using the internet.
