As the major UK manufacturer of pocket spring beds, our client has continued to thrive and prosper. Creating an ever-growing range of luxurious, high quality beds – they have achieved an enviable reputation as a high quality brand both in the finest retail stores and among a widening circle of contract customers. An opportunity has now arisen for a Customer Sales & Service Manager to join their team.

This is the ideal position for an experienced candidate looking for a new challenge. This is a new role within the company that offers the successful candidate the chance to influence the direction of a key team.

In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing the Customer Sales and Service department that's responsible for handling inbound and making outbound calls. Your focus will be to ensure that sales opportunities for the business are fully maximised, excellent customer service is provided, and full office support is provided to the field based Business Development Managers.

As the Customer Sales & Service Manager your key duties will include:

- creating and maintaining a fully fledged customer sales, customer service and sales support function
- recruiting, training and developing an effective team
- with Business Development Managers, as a team, creating appointments and managing and servicing those accounts
- monitoring team and individual performance, and managing all staffing issues
- continually coaching, motivating and developing the team
- meeting and exceeding any sales targets set by the Sales Director

To succeed in this position you must have experience in a management position or a customer services supervisor role. You will also need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, a can do attitude, and competency using the MS Office suite. The ideal candidate will also be educated to A level, HND or NVQ level 4 standard (or equivalent).

In addition to your strong interpersonal skills and ability to spot opportunities, as the Customer Sales & Service Manager you will also need to display a creative approach and the desire to make this role a success.
