Business development manager required for a specialist communications company that manufacture technology such as Electronic countermeasures systems/equipment, Electronic warfare Equipment and Microwave systems/equipment/components. This strategic business development manager role will be in the defence market, candidates should have experience of operating and negotiating business at End User, MOD, Funding Agencies, Prime Contractor level with comparable networking experience included. Value of deals can range from £250k research funding to £1m-£5m orders over 1-3 year timeframes. The Defence Systems market the client operates in is from DC-40GHz in the communications, radar and electronic warfare sectors. 90% of their business is export so experience at international level would be beneficial although growth in the UK is equally important. Technical experience is not as important as experience in these markets and the role itself but a HND or above in a relevant field would be beneficial.
Candidates are likely to come from MOD, Ex-Forces or Prime Contractors Experience in the Defence Communications sector would be beneficial (DC-3GHz).
