THE ROLE:
Business Development Manager – Consulting Projects.
Fantastic sales engineer opportunity open for a prestigious company based in the Midlands. This new business development manager position is due to restructure and growth within the company. The company is a world leader in the field and has 50 years experience in design and advanced product development, applications and validation services. The role of business development manager will involve selling a wide range of innovative design consulting projects focusing around control engineering, actuation systems, sensing systems and safety engineering. The position will be covering a national territory with the potential of travel but not much. Selling into automotive, aerospace civil and defence dealing with avionics, electronics, mechanical and sub systems. The focus is strategic and new business driven and will require strong ability to network throughout industries identifying new and attractive opportunities and converting into business wins. A strong engineering bias is needed in the role as credibility is required when dealing with technical directors and chief engineers. The role will suit a qualified engineer with an engineering qualification or Physics degree. A strong back in proven new business wins within the aerospace sector will be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial ability, strong personal skills with a genuine, consultative approach with technical ability and someone who is looking for a challenging role with strong career progression.

THE CANDIDATE:
•5 years business development experience
•Ideally have a physics or electronics qualification
•Have to have a structured sales qualification i.e. Spin, Miller Heimen
•To date selling a consultancy based solution in the technology market into aerospace, defence, automotive and traffic highways
THE PACKAGE:
Basic Salary: £30k to £36k
Commission: Company Bonus
