THE ROLE:

Business Development Manager – Cosmetic & Household Goods (FMCG) - An exciting opportunity has arisen within a global manufacturer of cosmetic and household products to develop business within a rapidly expanding distribution and sales network globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new and existing contacts in the multiple retail sector inclusive of grocery retailers, pharmacy groups and discount retailers, developing business with multinational retail chains setting strategies for development and growth to ensure targets are met. A strong sales background will be required with an analytical approach to hitting targets, other languages, although not essential, would be an advantage coupled with knowledge of the cosmetic and household goods (FMCG) market but extensive in-house training will be provided with excellent opportunities for long term career progression.
The company has the capacity to take on a candidate with a proven track record of sales within a similar market or take a candidate on in more of a trainee capacity and develop to become a key senior member of the international sales team.

THE COMPANY:

An extremely forward thinking and innovative international manufacturer of branded and own label personal care and household products including gift sets, deodorants, aftershaves, body sprays, perfumes and shaving foams. Dynamic approach and rapidly expanding with recent offices opened in the UK to further develop UK and Mainland Europe.

THE CANDIDATE:

•Experienced within FMCG sales.
•Demonstrable track record within business development and key account management.
•A proactive approach to sales with ability to work with autonomy.
•Ability and willingness to travel to visit overseas customers and tradeshows on a consistent and regular basis.
•Demonstrated experience in prioritising and handling multiple tasks with accuracy and proficiency and minimal supervision.

THE PACKAGE:

Basic Salary: Up to £35,000
Commission: £10,000 On Target Earnings + Car Benefits + Expenses + Usual Executive Benefits.
