Well known and well established brand that was once part of a global conglomerate has now re-emerged as a standalone business with renewed vigour, energy and attitude. Manufacturing a wide range of mechanical and electronic lock systems and solutions it is an ideal time to start with the company that has new vision, fresh impetuous and the ambition to double UK Turnover and headcount over the next five years.

The role is expected to grow into sales management within two years and as such the company are looking for an individual that ideally is GAI qualified or has experience within architectural ironmongery or has a specification sales background and is willing to train for GAI accreditation. Key requirements are that you are ambitious, driven, self motivated and looking for a long-term career move.

This expansion position is a project driven specification sales role selling into architects and architectural ironmongers with existing accounts including Hospitals, schools, universities and major sporting venues. The role is a combination of both business development and the account management of a £1M plus portfolio of accounts. The sales process is a classic construction backselling role where you will manage projects from design to completion through the supply chain ensuring maximum project profitability. You will therefore be a ‘Chameleon' – the kind of person that can wear different hats and build rapport with a wide range of levels and personalities.

With previous experience of selling into Architects/specifiers and developers/distributors you will ideally have experience within architectural ironmongery. You will be market aware, the kind of individual that keeps tabs on all competitor activities and learns how to sell effectively against them. As the role is tender and project led you will be IT literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be enthusiastic, well presented, a self starter and be a proven business developer within the construction industry. G.A.I. (Guild of Architectural Ironmongers) qualifications or a willingness to train to become GAI accredited would be highly beneficial.

The role is covering the South of England – Midlands South – with the majority of accounts in London and the M4 Corridor. The ideal living location would be the Home Counties, London or along the M4 from Windsor to Bristol.
