Business Development Manager

 
Salary: £45000 OTE: £50000

The role of the BDM is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team focused on the sale of fire/security and/or BMS system installation. You will be the main point of contact for existing and new customers and build on our strong company presence in the building solutions and services market. Based out of either Bracknell in Berkshire or Dartford in Kent you will cover customers in the London and South east area. C £45k plus commission etc

 

Our clients business is worth about $120 million and has approx. 900 employees based in 12 offices throughout the geographical area, with the head office in Berkshire. This is an exciting time for our client with some key projects including Wembley and other Premier league stadiums going live in the next few months

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Identifying customer needs and preparing written proposals to deliver cost effective solutions.
  • To ensure client's requirements and expectations are managed and met.
  • Planning and development of bids/offers across the whole sales cycle.
  • To maximise revenue from each client.
  • To meet revenue based targets
  • Survey, estimate (when required) and deliver sales proposals
  • Expand Branch sales base.
  • Maintain effective relationships both internal and external.
  • Develop sales presentations.
  • Ensure smooth hand over of orders to Operations, and to provide first line customer support.
  • To liase with development team on proposals and projects.
  • To create a shared sales mission/approach.

A proven BDM/sales record is expected and a relevant technical (fire/securityor BMS) background will be a real advantage, as will a proactive approach.
