Advertising Manager
I have a fantastic opportunity for an Advertising Manager working for a fast growing Professional Publishing group based in central London N1.
The role involves day-to-day people management of the teams, including monitoring and managing lateness and absence, call rates and lead generation.
Key Responsibilities:
oSelling Display advertising and against agreed targets, and managing a number of key clients within the magazines.
oActively and creatively sourcing leads and potential advertising opportunities, and overseeing the team in the same activity.
oWorking towards and exceeding targets, including maximising all revenues, increasing yields and adhering to strict time and copy deadlines.
oWorking with the Trading Director to devise and implement a yield policy and protect the ratecards.
oDaily motivating the team, and driving each sales executive to achieve above target.
oWith Training Manager measure and review individual performance, and regularly conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
oResponsibility for day-to-day management of the team, including managing sickness, lateness, attendance, holiday and activity rates.
oProduce formal weekly strategy reports highlighting business developments, title and individual performance and training needs.
oRunning team meetings and attending management team meetings.
oWorking with the People Consultant/Training Manager to recruit and retain staff for the team.
oWorking with the editorial team on continual creative development of the magazine – in particular specific look, feel and content.
oLiaison with the editorial team to develop creative opportunities while retaining editorial values.
oWith the Trading Director, agreeing an implementing an overall commercial strategy of the magazine.
oVisiting clients face-to-face where necessary.
oWith the Trading Director/Publishing Director and the Production Manager, ensuring that all copy is in on time, and the magazine as laid out as required.
oOverseeing the quality control of all advertising in the magazine including checking and approving copy, design, layout and page planning.
oWith the Training Manager, organising ongoing training and development of the team.
oRepresenting the management team across the department.
oInvolvement in any disciplinary or HR related meetings.
Salary: Between 30-40k + a fantastic commission structure + Benefits
