Account Manager / Project Manager – Technical Services

Our client is a leading international specialist engineering group. Located in Fareham, on the south coast of England, their customers include renowned aircraft and helicopter constructors, government departments of defence and systems integrators worldwide. An opportunity has now arisen for an Account Manager / Project Manager to join their team.
This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electronic engineering to join a reputable company. As an Account Manager / Project Manager you will be responsible for liaising with customers, and supporting technical activities for major account customers from within the Aerospace industry.
As the focal point within the company for all technical and support communications for assigned customers, your duties will include:
- reporting directly to customers on the progress of ongoing technical and support activities
- ensuring individual customer requirements are met
- setting and hosting technical support meetings, and attending customer meetings
- providing support and assistance to Sales with the preparation of proposals
- maximising opportunities for follow-on business by understanding how to grow customer relationships
To succeed as the Account Manager / Project Manager you must have previous project management experience and a HNC (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering. You must also have the following:
- ability to lead complex multi-disciplinary projects with customer interaction
- experience of report writing and excellent written communication skills
- good presentation skills with the ability to present at business meetings
- good IT skills including MS Excel and Word
