Account Manager / IT Sales Account Manager – Hosting Solutions
Derby (Field Based)
£25,000 - £35,000 plus Uncapped Commission and Car/Car Allowance
Our client owns and manages a data centre in Derby, with another opening just outside Leeds in Spring 2009. With a portfolio including colocation, hosting, connectivity and IP telephony solutions, the business is privately-owned, profitable and growing – so now is an exciting time to join the team as a field-based Account Manager / IT Sales Account Manager.
The Account Manager / IT Sales Account Manager will focus on selling hosting solutions based around the company's data centre capability. This will include:
- Colocation
- Managed Hosting
- Hosted Virtual Environments (we are a VMWare Authorized Hosting Partner)
- Hosted Storage Solutions (Dell Equallogic or NetApp)
Your role will cover the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing the order with ongoing management and development of the account. Dealing with accounts typically ranging from £60k to £450k annual contract values, you will be given marketing and technical assistance as required.
To succeed within the role of Account Manager / IT Sales Account Manager, the applicant will require proven experience selling at least one of: Colocation, Managed Hosting, Hosted Virtual Environments, Hosted Storage Solutions. You'll also be a self starter with the ability to open doors and develop opportunities within Medium Enterprises and Systems Integrators.
The successful applicant will be based within a commutable distance of Derby, and will ideally have some existing business contacts.
