Our client is an independent technology and market research company that provides pragmatic and forward-thinking advice to global leaders in business and technology. For more than 24 years they have been making leaders successful every day through its proprietary research, consulting, events, and peer-to-peer executive programs.
Due to expansion they are currently seeking to recruit an Account Executive to work out of their London offices.
Description:
This role is part of the Tech Industry Sales team and reports to the Sales Manager Tech Industry UK. This sales representative has an assigned quota that requires generating and closing new business with UK and European vendor accounts. He/she works with North American account teams to develop and execute a European territory plan that balances both proactive and reactive lead generation. For qualified prospects, the sales representative must conduct a needs analysis and demonstrate the value of the companies product portfolio to potential clients by addressing critical business issues.
Responsibilities:
• Achieve a sales quota in new business in existing UK and European accounts.
• Develop and close business independently by developing interest from tech vendor accounts in the UK and Europe.
• Maintain an appropriate sales pipeline to achieve quota and keep the pipeline updated in Siebel.
• Produce accurate and timely forecasts.
• Understand the changing business and technology issues and needs that our potential clients face.
• Work with research teams to better understand the companies value proposition for prospects.
Requirements:
• B.Sc./B.A. or equivalent level of experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven sales success, including cold calling, new business development, achieving revenue goals, and managing personal sales strategies.
• Effective organization and time management skills.
• Team player.
• Fast learner and at ease with technology.
• EU passport or valid UK work and residency permits required.
• Experience of working with European accounts.
• Fluent English and further European language skills are a plus.
• Ability to travel at least 35% of the time, which will include travel in the UK and Europe.
The rewards are superb and include a generous basic salary of up to £40,000, with a realistic OTE of £65,000 (which is uncapped) + superb initial and ongoing training (including trips to the companies HO in the States) plus superb career development opps.
