Account Development Engineer - Electrical Connection Technology

THE ROLE
A business development field sales role has arisen with one of the UK's leading providers of solutions for electrical connectivity, transmission and conditioning of power, signals and data in industrial environments. This field sales role will involve selling a range of industrial components for electrical connection technology into distribution channels (industrial electrical wholesalers) across a Southern UK sales territory. This role will focus on account management of existing clients; networking within these accounts and developing revenue streams, whilst also generating new business. This will involve solution led sales, building strong relationships within channels, creating dynamic business plans alongside channel distributors targeting end users. The candidate will have total responsibility for all territory sales targets, managing a large, highly profitable area.

THE CANDIDATE
•Strong field sales experience with the ability to manage a large territory
•Have excellent communication and presentation skills
•The ability to build strong relationships with senior decision makers
•Have a proven track record of sales success
•Can technically support distributor sales when targeting potential clients
•The ability to influence and inspire others
•A new business winner with strong account management skills
•Have strong verbal and written skills
•Have a professional image
•Be confident, self motivated and have a tenacious approach
•Have strong closing skills
•Be a team player
•Ideally have an electrical engineering background with either an ONC or HNC qualification
•Ideally based between the Midlands and London
THE PACKAGE
Basic Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Commission: £36,000 - £48,000
